About Rose Luczaj
Rose is a multifaceted professional based in New York City with experience in video, photography, journalism, and fine art. With a background in independent filmmaking and a BFA in Media Arts Production from Emerson College, she takes pride in her ability to combine both creative and corporate endeavors in her work.
While pursuing her undergraduate degree, Rose interned at a wide-ranging variety of media companies such as SiriusXM, GBH, and Splicer Films, where she gained hands-on experience in studio production, television research, and documentary filmmaking. Her roles spanned across the full cycle of production from development to editing and distribution, making her equally effective as a generalist on fast-paced sets and in specific roles on long-form projects.
In her senior year at Emerson, she was accepted into the selective and rigorous Bachelor of Fine Arts thesis program, through which she wrote, directed, produced, and edited a large-scale short film. She raised funds for production, managed a cast and crew of approximately thirty local students and professionals, and participated in BFA workshop seminar classes, completing "Symptoms of Melancholy" in 2025. Her other independent works have included documentary features and shorts, as well as social videos for marketing purposes. Her full showreel can be viewed below.
Rose's postgraduate endeavors led her to intern at The Daily Show and fully immerse herself in the world of late night entertainment before shifting gears and accepting a role at a major digital news and media company. As the current Media Studios Fellow at Business Insider, Rose is part of a highly technical team that produces high-quality and award-winning journalistic video content. She assists in the fulfillment of the day-to-day audiovisual needs of the company, and manages the internal equipment inventory. She has also collaborated with the editorial side of the organization with her written work being published on the Business Insider website.
